Our History

Schaumburg Community Church (S.C.C.) was birthed by the Chicago Parish of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, a church established in 1952 in line with fulfilling its vision to plant churches around the world designed to encourage the propagation of the gospel of Jesus Christ and to provide a close place of worship, fellowship and discipleship for every convert. 

In North America there are about 800 parishes spread in various Cities and States of USA and Canada. Also, there are parishes in the Caribbean states of Haiti and Jamaica. There are parishes in South America, the Middle East, Australia, etc

Schaumburg Community Church is led by Pastor Wale and Pastor Foluke Akinosun who have served at the Chicago Parish since 1995. The church aims to impact its local community by preaching the gospel and partnering with the village of Schaumburg to provide love, leadership, and development to its people.

Our Beliefs

Trinity

There is one God, eternally existent in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit. These three are coequal and co-eternal.

The Death and Resurrection
of Jesus Christ

That Jesus Christ died on the cross at Calvary for the sins of mankind, and He rose from the Dead in His glorified body on the third day, and He ascended into heaven where He is seated at the right hand of God the Father.

The Baptism of the Holy Spirit

Is available to all who believe in Jesus Christ, and is evidenced by the gift of speaking in tongues.

Water Baptism

Water baptism by immersion is a testimony of death to sin and resurrection to a new life in Christ Jesus.

Salvation

It is a gift from God through grace and faith in Christ Jesus. That all who believe in the name of Jesus Christ may be saved by turning from sin to repentance and are born again by the Holy Spirit through trusting in His death and resurrection.

The Blood of Jesus Christ

Which was shed for us at Calvary, cleanses us of all sin and grants us access into the presence of God.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

Jesus Christ will come again to earth in glory and in power. That those dead in Christ will rise first and those alive in Christ will be in the presence of God for eternity.

Separation from the world unto God - a life of true holiness.
